Cosmetic crowns and bridges require the cutting away of significant tooth structure and are therefore used only to repair an already badly compromised tooth. If your front teeth are damaged and you were fitted with a porcelain-over-metal (PFM) crown, you may want to consider replacing your old crown with an all-porcelain crown. Now created to be nearly as strong as the old PFM crowns, all-porcelain crowns reflect light to give a much more natural appearance.
